‘Green Room’ is the year’s most terrifyingly plausible thriller

It is every small-bore touring band’s nightmare: Your last show paid you barely enough to fill the tank. The promoter, just a young punk himself, suggests a last-minute opening slot that will yield more money than you’ve seen in weeks. The crowd might not be what you’re used to but a paying gig is a paying gig and come on, how bad can it be?

Very, very bad.
