The Alamo Drafthouse will be screening the original “Star Wars” trilogy (the 1997 versions) in cities across the country this August.
As you might imagine, the roadshow is called “Return of the Trilogy.” Screenings will take place at venues in over 20 cities across August.
“Star Wars,” “The Empire Strikes Back,” and “Return of the Jedi” will sometimes screen back-to-back-to-back as a triple feature.
In Austin, however, the films will screen individually Aug. 11, 12 and 13 at the Long Center for the Performing Arts.
Each “Return of the Trilogy” show will feature special video content before and between films, contests, props and more. Coming dressed as your favorite Jedi, scoundrel pilot or rebel scum will be very much encouraged.
Tickets for most markets will go on sale at ReturnOfTheTrilogy.com on May 4, otherwise known as Star Wars Day (as in “May the 4th be with you.”)
