If you are a moviemaker or someone who follows the ins-and-outs of various technical accomplishments in filmmaking, you might have already heard of director Sean Baker’s exceptionally impressive “Tangerine.”

Not only is it a caustically funny, richly energetic indie comedy about two transgender sex workers in Los Angeles, it was also shot entirely on three iPhone 5s, using an anamorphic clip-on lens, a Steadicam mount and the “Filmic Pro” app.

Which is a very technical way of saying there are zero excuses anymore for not shooting your movie, no matter what it is about. None. Start tomorrow.
