“In Stereo” is a romantic dramedy in which a broken-up couple, David and Brenda, spend much of the film in separate universes of self-involvement. We’re supposed to believe that they’re meant for each other, though we’re not sure these two individuals are meant for anyone.

This is a quirky movie with a quirky storytelling structure. There is a “David” section (where we see David spiral), a “Brenda” section (where he see Brenda spiral), and a “David and Brenda” section (where the real action begins).
